Green is a cool colour because it has shorter wavelengths. It often symbolises nature; Tranquility. Other common associations is; money, good luck, wealth, envy, jealousy. 

Ancient Greece- green meant fertility of Earth and women. 

Green can inspire creativity. Green in new environments can help use to be put at ease. Designers often use green in public places. 

Green is calming because of it's links with the natural world. 

Can be motivating- People with a high need for achievement consistently go for green over red.
